Prepared from the dried fruit of Moruga Scorpion Pepper, this is one of the hottest chile peppers in the world. Coming in at 1,000,000 Scoville units these peppers are no joke. These extremely potent peppers have hints of fruit, citrus and floral behind their intense heat making it an easy way to add heat to any dish, including sauces, chili, salsa and rubs. Dust this onto your popcorn or chips for a heat that continues to build the more you snack.
This well-known pepper gets its name both from the spicy sting and the resemblance that a fresh pepper bares to a scorpion telson (stinger). The Scorpion pepper was developed by Wahid Ogeer in Tobago and Trinidad in the district Moruga.
