How is classic GardenFrost garlic made?
Onions are cultivated in nearly 200 countries around the world. The top producing regions for this crop are the United States, China and India. Our proprietary GardenFrost onion puree is made from onions that are grown in the U.S.
After the crop is harvested, it is washed, cleaned and peeled. To complete the process, the onions are pureed and blended with cane sugar and sea salt -- creating a flavor that is close to fresh without the hassle of sourcing raw onions for your production needs.

History of classic GardenFrost garlic
Onions are one of the longest cultivated crops in history. It is believed to have originated in Central Asia, Iran or West Pakistan - the exact origin is unknown as onions are small and leave little trace evidence. Early documents show the crop was used for food, medicine, art and mummification.
Purées are made of cooked food such as carrots or peas that are ground, pressed, blended or sieved to the consistency of a creamy paste or liquid. The word itself is of French origin, where it meant in Old French “purified” or “refined.”
