2K ASTA Paprika Oleoresin
This Paprika Oleoresin, also known as Paprika extract is an oil-soluble extract from the fruits of the red pepper plant, and is typically used as a coloring and flavoring agent during food production. This product is prepared from a hexane extraction of ground paprika, then is blended with sunflower oil to standardize color levels. Foods coloured with paprika oleoresin include cheese, orange juice, spice mixtures, sauces, sweets and emulsified processed meats. In chicken feed, it is used to deepen the color of egg yolks
This particular product is rated as 2000 ASTA (2K ASTA), and is one of our darker oleoresins, appearing as a deep, dark red viscous oil. It has a flavor and aroma typical of paprika extract.
