ofi Spices’ large chopped onions begin as proprietary seeds that have been developed by our experts at our the research and development facility in Hanford, California for more than 70 years. From here, the onion seeds are planted in three diversified growing region in the wester United States and cultivated by our growers until it’s ready to be harvested.
Then, our ag ops team returns to the field with specialized harvesting equipment to gather the crop and delivers it to one of our three processing facilities in Firebaugh, California, Gilroy, California and Fernley, Nevada.
