Farm Spotlight: Chaffin Farms
Chaffin Farms in Blythe, California, is comprised of 3,300 acres in the Palo Verde Valley of the Lower Colorado River Valley region. The land was first founded by Dr. Lawrence Chaffin, who managed operations for six decades, while attending to his medical practice and teaching at the University of Southern California. Today, it is managed by Chaffin's grandson, Grant, who has expanded the portolio to include alfalfa, cotton, upland cotton, wheat, durum wheat and onions, which is what Chaffin Farms produces for Spices by ofi.
